Advanced Powertrain Systems
	The Applied Dynamics and Control Group is seeking Ph.D. applicants in the following two areas: Distributed Parameter Control Applicants to this position should already have completed (or will soon complete) a masters degree in mechanical engineering, engineering mechanics, mathematical sciences or a related field. Strong mathematical background (preferably dealing with PDE’s) is required, and some experimental skills are also expected of the successful applicant. Prior publications record can be used to demonstrate strengths/background in the area of estimation and controls and/or modeling of processes described by PDE’s, in both time and space.
