Mohammed A. Omar received his Bsc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Jordan in 2001, and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2005. He had been a visiting scholar at Toyota Motor Corporation, instrumentation Engineering Division in Aichi-Japan in 2005. He worked at the University of Kentucky as a post-doctoral scholar and as a research assistant, and currently he is an assistant professor at Clemson University, mechanical engineering department. He presently serves as an organizing member for the American society of non-destructive testing, automotive NDT topical conferences, in addition, to being an advisory-board member of the automotive painting technology consortium. His research focuses on the development of automated quality assurance and nondestructive testing systems for automotive plants products and processes control. Several of these systems are patented in the United States, Japan and Europe. He has significant experience in infrared vision systems design and
deployment.
